SJDM Mayor Robes: ‘Kung sino man ang nag-uudyok sa inyo na walanghiyain ang isang punong-lungsod, mahiya naman kayo’

San Jose del Monte City Mayor Florida “Rida” Robes reportedly became pissed off after the crowd chanted water in a public gathering, apparently to demand that her administration immediately address the water shortage currently being experienced by some of her constituents.

In the videos that circulated on various social media platforms, the mayor, while addressing the people inside a gymnasium in Barangay Minuyan Proper, sought respect.

“Hindi tama Minuyan Proper, lahat ng pagbibigay, ibinibigay ko sa inyo. Kung sino man ang nag-uudyok sa inyo na walanghiyain ang isang punong-lungsod at kongresista, aba, mahiya naman kayo,” the mayor said.

A councilor reportedly was behind the crowd’s chanting of “Tubig, tubig.”

Some areas in San Jose del Monte City continue to experience water shortages despite the entry of a new water concessionaire.
